Fernwood’s Neighbourhood Newspaper
The Village Vibe is Fernwood’s neighbourhood newspaper. It was created by Fernwood NRG staff and volunteers in 2005 to communicate with residents about goings on in the neighbourhood. Published by Fernwood NRG, the Village Vibe is produced bi-monthly by an editorial committee comprised of Fernwood NRG staff, board members, contributors and neighbourhood residents. Articles, stories, poems, photos and original artwork are sourced from resident contributors. Advertisements are welcome—rates and specifications are available here.
The Vibe is mailed out to all Fernwood households and distributed in boxes throughout the neighbourhood and at local cafes and shops.
Advertise in the Village Vibe
The Village Vibe is the perfect vehicle to promote a business or event to the neighbourhood of Fernwood. The paper is published bi-monthly, and has options to advertise in colour or black and white. 4000 copies are printed, and 3500 are distributed by mail to every household within walking distance of Fernwood Square, while 500 are distributed through local businesses and drop boxes in the neighbourhood.

Contribute to the Village Vibe
The Village Vibe is always looking for contributors and submissions, whether stories, photos, original art, even poetry and short fiction. The single guiding theme is that your submission must relate to Fernwood. To get a feel for what we currently print, please see our most recent editions.
