Fernwood Neighbourhood House is a non-profit, community-led organization guided by the people who live and work here. When you become a member, you’re joining a network of neighbours who care deeply about building a thriving, inclusive, and connected Fernwood.
As a member, you’ll have the opportunity to:

Have a voice in the direction of our organization and the decisions that affect our neighbourhood.

Stay informed about community programs, projects, and events.

Vote at our Annual General Meeting and help elect our volunteer Board of Directors.

Support local action that strengthens belonging, equity, and wellbeing for everyone in Fernwood.
Membership is one of the simplest and most meaningful ways to support the work we do together. It ensures Fernwood Neighbourhood House continues to be a place where everyone is welcome — a place led by community, for community.
Who Can Become a Member?
Membership is open to anyone who:

Lives within the Fernwood area (bounded by Hillside Avenue, Shelbourne Street, Chestnut Street, Fort Street, and Blanshard Street).

Is 14 years of age or older.
Memberships are valid for one calendar year and renew annually on December 31st.
If you join between October 1st and December 31st, your membership will be valid through to the end of the following year.
How to Join
You can become a member in one of two ways:
- Fill out our online membership form below.
- Print and deliver a paper form to the Fernwood Community Centre at 1240 Gladstone Avenue, Victoria, BC.
Once your application is received, it will be reviewed by our Board of Directors and confirmed within 30 days.
